Dr. Russell is an experienced clinical psychologist who has worked and trained globally. She has been evaluating and treating children, adolescents, adults, and families for nearly 20 years. She evaluates for learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Russell is trained in the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) model and specializes in treating an array of anxiety disorders (eg Separation Anxiety, School Refusal, OCD, Generalized Anxiety, phobias, etc.) in children and adolescents. She has specialized training in the treatment of anxiety in children and adolescents and an extensive background in cognitive behavioral therapy. She provides skilled parent training, as well as preparation for teens heading to college. She engages in research-based interventions for post-partum depression, individuals coping with major medical concerns, children with problematic behaviors, and improving communication within relationships. She provides LGBTQ+ affirmative care with individuals, couples, adolescents and families. Dr. Russell relies on evidenced-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, as well as Positive Psychology and Mindfulness-based interventions.
