Dr. Russell is an experienced clinical psychologist who has worked and trained globally. She has been evaluating and treating children, adolescents, adults, and families for nearly 20 years. She evaluates for learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. Russell is trained in the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) model and specializes in treating an array of anxiety disorders (eg Separation Anxiety, School Refusal, OCD, Generalized Anxiety, phobias, etc.) in children and adolescents. She has specialized training in the treatment of anxiety in children and adolescents and an extensive background in cognitive behavioral therapy.  She provides skilled parent training, as well as preparation for teens heading to college. She engages in research-based interventions for post-partum depression, individuals coping with major medical concerns, children with problematic behaviors, and improving communication within relationships. She provides LGBTQ+ affirmative care with individuals, couples, adolescents and families. Dr. Russell relies on evidenced-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, as well as Positive Psychology and Mindfulness-based interventions. 

Dr. Russell trained at a leading hospital in the southeast for behavioral health services, including the internationally renowned Forrest General Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services programs for treating sexual addiction and professionals struggling with addiction, interpersonal, and vocational difficulties. She also worked abroad with a diverse population of patients from more than 20 countries. She trained with respected clinicians at the University of Reading Counseling Center, providing therapy and learning disability assessments in the United Kingdom, and she taught at Richmond American International University of London as an Associate Adjunct Professor. She worked with children, families, and teachers at The British International School of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and consulted with esteemed clinicians at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neuropsychology in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Russell worked at Florida Tech for over five years as a Staff Psychologist and an Adjunct Professor.

Dr. Russell is deeply engaged in the Space Coast community and in addressing issues that impact women and families locally. She has volunteered on the Board of Directors at Serene Harbor Certified Domestic Violence Shelter, and she served as a volunteer Victim Advocate for Sexual Assault Victim Services. She was also involved at the state level with the Florida Psychological Association Legislative Affairs and Public Policy Board.

Dr. Russell is an experienced clinician and parent who understands that conflicts and concerns arise in everyone’s life and having knowledgeable and caring support for yourself and your loved ones is crucial. Her aim is to assess, inform, and empower her patients to improve their quality of life.
